Cyclic Redundancy error

For 1) Cyclic Redundancy means that CRC of that file doesn't match. There is some error happening when reading that CDRW.

For 2) run chkdsk. Cannot say if this works in CDRW, but with floppies or hard disk yes.

(Run - cmd - chkdsk)

1) CRC is a built-in check. Check and make sure the original copy is fine. if you want to copy it back to the hdd, then do so, but I recommend that you slow down the speed of the drive and not run anything in TSR or background that may be causing difficulties.

2) If the copy process has not started, you should be able to open Windows Explorer and right-click on the drive --> Properties --> and see 100% available.

cdrw's can be reformatted. You need to check your documentation as to the best way to use these cds (as some hardware manufacturers -- computer or cdrw drive) actually recommends using WinXP software for CD-RW cds and other software (usually provided with the hardware) for CD-R cds.

If the image on the hdd has a CRC error, then remove that file and re-download it or re-copy it from the original. Make sure the original does not have any scratches/gouges, etc. on it. Again, minimize the speed of burning and it should work fine... and minimize other operations on this computer while the cd burner is running.
