Hi, I'm looking for a cheap way to store mass data storage for files and folders. I have a dept. that creates alot of files, drawings etc. I currently have 2 160 gig hard drives connected to 1 computer and they are looking for alot more space. Is there a cheap solution out there for this, maybe other than a Nas storage? Any help would be aprecciated.

Can you not add a scsi cage into the mix, where you can have 6 or more drives? If not, how about iscsi? iscsi will allow you to use drives on another system as though they were on the current system. Your computer does not see it as a mapped drive, it treats them as local. If you do not have the ability to add new drives, then this may be an option since you can have multiple computers housing the drives. There is alot of information out there on iscsi, here is one link.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
