    DCHP Server

Hello everyone and thank you for your time.

I have a question to put to you …

Currently in the company where I work, we have a firewall (sonicwall) that acts as a gateway, instead the DHCP server is provided by a virtual machine with windows server 2012 R2 installed, also the DNS server.

Our intention is to disable the DHCP server role from windows server and enable the service on the firewall, what are the complications in doing this? also … is it possible to have a configuration where the DHCP is supplied by the firewall and the DNS Server is supplied by windows server?

    Many thanks for your attention…

    Regards

    Andrea

A DHCP Server is a system server that consequently gives and allocates IP addresses, default doors and other system parameters to customer gadgets. It depends on the standard convention known as Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol or DHCP to react to communicate inquiries by customers.
