dead BIOS and re-Flashing

by pierre_paulmoreau . Updated 22 years, 11 months ago

I’ve read somewhere that you can remove your BIOS after booting from the floppy since its only needed in the beginning (was called hot swapping). Then plug in a dead BIOS and flash it. I’d like to have an opinion on that.

AND

If its true — Would it work if I re-flashed the BIOS for an ASUS A7V333 MB (Athlon processor) on a BIOS chip mounted on a TUSL2-C MB (Pentium III)

Thats provided I flashed the correct BIOS file.
