Delete protecting a folder

Hi,
I have a folder on my file server ( OS windows 2000). I want to make that folder and its contents non deletable. But want to give all other permissions like read write create files and all to that folder. I tried the security tab and advanced options and unchecked delete and delete folders and files options.. But the problem is that, I am not able to save files after modifying...
Any one can help me..

Check Deny

Select the folder, Properties, Security, Advanced, select the user (or user group), edit, Apply onto: This folder, subfolders and files, check Deny on "Delete Subfolders and Files" and "Delete", OK.

You should see a "Deny" entry in the Permission entries list, user can read/write files, but can't delete.

Hi,
I did all these options.. But the problem is I am not able to save files..It is showing file permission error. I tried word and excel files.. Both cases I can't save. But i am able to save notepad(.txt) files......

Any solution for this..
