deleted email in Outlook

By twuf ·
I use Outlook and deleted an email. Outlook is configured to empty Delete folder when closing. I needed the email i deleted and bought a program called RecoverAll Pro. I does a great job finding & recovering all deleted files. My question is: Has anyone had this problem recovering deleted email? What is the name of the file?? There were hundreds of files that RecoverAll found but i didn't want to recover them all just to find one email! Does Outlook have a special extension to help identify emails?

Outlook uses PST as an extension for the file that includes all items related to Outloook.
Unless you have a backup copy, or are using Exchange, there is little chance of recovery.
This company claims to be able to do it for a price:

It is actually possible to recover data from a PST. A PST has it's own FAT so to speak and when an email is deleted it is simply marked to be replaced. This document will tell you how to "corrupt" the PST to remove the deleted items info and then you run scanpst to repair it and your email is back.
