Deleting Printers from Directory

By shadetreeadmin ·
I have small network that does not have a print server. Instead, we have several printers that are attached to computers and the printers are shared with everyone. On two separate computers, I've disconnected and uninstalled the printers attached to them. However, those printers show up in the directory when users try to add a new printer. How can I remove these printers from the directory? Where are these printer objects stored when we have no server in use as a print server?

Delete them

The PC's they were installed on, those that you share the printers have had the drivers installed installed also.

Depending on how they were installed you may need to uninstall associated software as well or just delete the drivers from the printer folder.
