Narrowed this down (I think) to usb. Booting with printer unplugged & disconnected hasn’t encountered error for a week. Have tried switching ports between devices. Mouse/keyboard no problems any port. Checkpoint fails with printer in any port.
Dual boot system ,Fedora 12 and XP (SP3). Before problem occurred, XP listed ‘unknown usb device’.Usual steps to rectify failed. Fedora recognised printer (Canon Pixma IX5000) but CUPS produced ‘printer not connected’.
At a loss to know what’s going on here. Any advice appreciated.
