I have a Dell Poweredge server running windows server 2003. We had a power outtage the other night. Now when I log on and go to start, programs; the program menu comes up; but then hangs. I can not select any programs on the menu. Further more the menu freezes in place and the only way to remove it is to log off and log back on. When I do this, a box comes up saying closing explorer.exe. There is apparantly an application causing this to hang, but we don’t know which one. If we boot into safe mode, everything works fine. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what did they do to fix it.
