Details to be shared with user - from helpdesk

Users often ask to helpdesk what was the problem which caused the issue. In my opinion we should translate the technical information into a form which is easily understood by layman. Some helpdesk systems provide all technical details like IP-addresses, version of the patch applied etc to the users which will only make the user confuse rather than understanding what really caused the issue. More over, technical details shared outside IT department would lead to security issues.
