determining ACPI system

How do you detemine if your computer supports ACPI?

Is there a way to determine if your computer is fully supporting ACPI?

Can you then disalbe APM?

Check with your computer manufactures documentation/website. If your looking to have ACPI so you can install Windows XP fear not. All you have to do is press I believe its F3 durring a certain part of the setup just read the message the comes up it will tell you where.

Andrew

PS Please don't push F3 without reading the error first I could be wrong.

Reboot your computer into the bios setup (done with or del key or F2) if there is a feature acpi and it can be turned on or off you know the computer supports it

When installing o.s. (w2k XP)you can press F7 to toggle acpi install or not. (when you are prompted to press F6 you press F7)
