DFS Replication Win2K Servers

by dark_h . Updated 19 years, 1 month ago

I want to enable the fault tolerant DFS on a small Windows 2000 network which is Active Directory enabled.
Basically there are 2 servers and I would like to be able to have the share data replicated from the main server (Sever A) to the ‘secondary’ server (Server B).
There is approximately 5 Gigs of data to replicate and I had apparently created a functional replica set. The Dfs links worked, Replmon detected no errors, the status check showed the green check mark… but up to 10 – 15 minutes later there was no data showing up in the replica folders. The replica folders were folders I manually created and shared prior to creating a replica set.
There are many, many small files in the share data and I would have thought that at least a FEW files should have shown up, but nothing did.
No errors in Event viewer either.
Am I missing something? I know the ‘blob’ replicates in 15 minutes, but what about the actual share data? Is replication not an immediate process (taking however long it needs to take?)?
Advice/guidance much appreciated!
