dhcp with multiple vlans

By degnan ·
Is there a way to have multiple vlans on a cisco switch have separate dhcp scopes for each? I only want to have one dhcp server(win2k server in win2k domain). They are on the same physical network. So far the research I have done is telling me I can't do this. Suggestions?

I am not sure on your question, but are you asking can you have a dhcp scope assigned to each VLAN?

Yes, you can have one DHCP server, which is offering multiple scopes to different segments of the vlan.

I believe this Cisco overview will assist you in understanding the theory:
