Disabling Context Menus in Access Forms

By chuckaduck ·
Hi There -

This is my first time working with VBA for Access, after learning client server applications with sql and c# in school, so bear with me.

I'm building a form which will allow a user to enter dates, and wanted to use the calendar control for ease of input. I have set up the calendar control to become visible upon right clicking the text box it updates; unfortunately, this also brings up the access forms context menu (with filter/copy/paste etc options) which is just in the way... none of my users will ever need to use it.

I thought I might be able to get rid of it by forcing an enter key event with sendkeys (as pressing enter does make the offending menu go away) but have had no luck with that approach so far.

Does anyone know of a way to disable those stupid right click context menus? Is there a property to set that I'm just not seeing?

Thank you so much !
Emily
