    disk mgt make partition

HP support said the install function from the repair/install files on separate partition on HDD would allow me to make additional partitions. Well, it did not. So, right after install completed, I went to disk management to do so. However, the installed win 10 is occupying 3% of 880g hdd, but disk mgt says that only 470M is unallocated and can be moved to another partition.

I did a defrag and it only slightly changed that number.

    Why the discrepancy?

    Product number:V9B64AA
    HP All-in-One – 24-e025t
    win 10

    tks,
    paul

That is another 5 or so GIG and what other Partitions where previously on the drive? When you reload the drive generally speaking with this type of system and restore it doesn’t alter the Partitions just at best may Format the Windows Partition.

It is possible that HP have also put in a Data Partition so when you go to the Partition Information what exactly does it show is on the drive?
