DNS Problem

By imt_maqbool ·
Dear Fellows i am having a problem with my DNS server

we have a domain named zephyr.com.pk and our server name is sbs.zephyr.com.pk

3 days back I installed an ADC and named it bkadc.zephyr.com.pk I installed new DNS on ADC bkadc.zephyr.com.pk and installed a forward lookup zone...in zone setting I created a secondary zone that was pointing towards DNS server installed on sbs.zephyr.com.pk

unfortunately i deleted the DNS zones from ADC (bkadc.zephyr.com.pk) and later on removed the server from domain controller list in Active Directory and i doubt it deleted some important entried from DNS on sbs.zephyr.com

now i have installed a new server and want to add it to the domain as new ADC but whenever i try to add it to domain zephyr.com.pk it gives me the following error

The following error occurred when DNS was queried for the service location (SRV) resource record used to locate a domain controller for domain zephyr.com.pk:

The error was: "DNS name does not exist."
(error code 0x0000232B RCODE_NAME_ERROR)

The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.zephyr.com.pk

Common causes of this error include the following:

- The DNS SRV records required to locate a domain controller for the domain are not registered in DNS. These records are registered with a DNS server automatically when a domain controller is added to a domain. They are updated by the domain controller at set intervals. This computer is configured to use DNS servers with following IP addresses:

10.0.0.250

- One or more of the following zones do not include delegation to its child zone:

zephyr.com.pk
com.pk
pk
. (the root zone)

Should i remove the existing forward lookup zone on my PDC but i am afraid it can create mess as our Exchange server is working with this domian controller.

I am stuck up with this problem I would be grateful if someone could help me in this regard
