hi
i have two cisco 2811 routers. I am connecting using serial cable (smart cisco serial cable, v.35). When i enter clock rate of more than 2000000 on DCE side, link goes up and down on DTE side. But when i enter 2000000 or below, it works.
Both routers takes clock rate of upto 8000000 but link goes up and down on DTE end.
also tried different serial cable in case 1 faulty. Also tried reload but still same.
My question is does this speed depends on serial cable or IOS, other than clock rate? Am i doing something wrong?
I am suspecting serial cable is an issue.
