Does the Motorola Cable Modem have a WAP

by jej1216 . Updated 19 years, 3 months ago

I just switched from Qwest DSL to Comcast Cable and was told that the cable modem (Motorola) did not provide a ‘built-in’ WAP as the DSL modem did. I connected it and connected my Linksys router and now I see both my linksys WAP as well as an unsecured WAP called ‘motorola’ on my ‘View Available Wireless Networks.’ I suspect this is from my new cable modem, but I can’t find any info on it. 192.168.2.1 is my Lyksys WAP, but there’s nothing found on 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. Does anyone know if A) Motorola Cable Modem has a WAP built in and B) how to access it?
