Domain Controllers

By shizmoney ·
I have a single Active Directory Domain thats running DNS, Exchange etc... I have a couple of remote sites that have Domain Controllers at the site with all the DNS settings. I found out now that the users at the main site are logging into the Domain Controllers at the remote sites and vice vercea. How can I tell me remote computers to log into there specfic DC?

Which version of Windows are you running?

Are all the domain controllers in the same Active Directory site? If this is so, then the clients are acting exactly as they should.

The easiest way to stop this issue, will be to create 2 additional AD sites, one for each of the subnets hosting the remote domain controllers. Move the remote domain controllers into the proper AD site, and viola, issue resolved!
