I am getting a lot of computers with the message “Windows cannot connect to the domain, either because the domain controller is down or otherwise unavailable, or because your computer account was not found”. It seems to be random computers, and random times, that this happens. Some computers have run for months without problem, and some ran for as little as two days, before this message would appear again. It is a simple fix, just join workgroup, then join the domain again, but it is a pain to keep doing this. I am wondering is there a way to prevent this from happening, or what is the root cause of this problem.
