domain joining problem

i have windows server 2003 domain all my client computers are working ok but i have a laptop with xp sp2 and gigabit card that does not join the domain when i try it does not even prompt for user name and password but error appear as below”
DNS was successfully queried for the service location (SRV) resource record used to locate a domain controller for domain xxxxxxxxxx.com:

The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.xxxxxxxxxx.com

The following domain controllers were identified by the query:

servername.xxxxxxxxx.com

Common causes of this error include:

– Host (A) records that map the name of the domain controller to its IP addresses are missing or contain incorrect addresses.

– Domain controllers registered in DNS are not connected to the network or are not running.

where xxxxxxxxx represents domain name
but other computers are joining domain easily how to solve the problem.

  Is it your firewall that is blocking access to the domain?
