We have a Windows Server 2003 domain infrastructure and our previous attempt to rename the domain from original-domain.com to renamed-domain.com resulted in a failure, that the forest is currently misconfigured and any signs of the previous domain are lost.
I am planning to take over the whole process and do this myself.
There are two options:
– Create a new forest and build up everything from scratch, then migrate the AD and Exchange
– Use the Migration Tool over the existing domain and pray God nothing goes wrong like the previous time.
