After having done months of learning HTML, XHTML, CSS and Javascript at TAFE, I have learnt to design a simple web page on Dreamweaver in less than 2 hours (where’s the justice in that?!?). Dreamweaver builds the code for you just like that, and its good in one way that I have learnt about scripting as it makes it much more easier to understand the code.
What I get a little annoyed about is kids and teens who think they know how to build a site because they have set up some on a blog or MySpace or somewhere like that, but in reality they probaly wouldn’t know how to code from scratch nor how to upload to a public web server. I, myself, feel comfort in the knowledge that I know what is going on behind those pages.
(Seriously thinking about web development as a career, what do others think?)
