I Have a dual boot win 98 and Win 2000 Profesional each os in diferent hardrives but in one computer. Can I go in Win 2000 Profesional format win 98 from win 2000 Profesional, without loosing the mbr information and be able to boot to win 2000 Profesional without any problems?
I had a bad experience already!!! you see I fdisk the hard drive where Win 98 was runing so I could have That hard drive for storage for Win 2000 Profesional. Evrithing when down hill I couldnt boot up to Win 2000 Profesioal at all!!! They told me because Win 98 have the mbr information so if you erase that you can’t boot up at all to your drives.Ok so my question is: Can I boot up to Win 2000 Profesional and from within Windows 2000 profesional can I formatthe HDD where Win 98 is runing and not lose the mbr information and boot up again with no problem to Win 2000 Pro?
