dvd burner

By domapo2 ·
Am interested in buying a dvd burner, I see some are +R and some are -R. I realize these are different formats but am wondering if there is a real difference other than that as why one might be a better buy over the other. No on I talk to seems to know anything about them. Thanks Marge

There are are two warring factions both wanting to be recognized as authoritative source for dvd standards. You can read the write-up on them at my site at alltechdevelopment.netfirms.com and follow the links to pc-advisor and pc-medic for access to the topics

Go with -R for two reasons. The media is cheaper and -R discs are compatible with more models of set top players. Go to www.vcdhelp.com to learn more than you wanted to know.
