I installed a DVD+RW in a friends PC – it all works perfectly except that we left the original DVD (reader) in – on a separate IDE ribbon, and the old one now refuses to eject when you press the front button. BUT, if you eject it “electronically” from properties, you can successfully use the physical eject button until you reboot the PC. Any ideas?
