When I insert a cd or dvd into the dvd rom drive, the power light flashes like it’s reading the cd; this goes on for close to a minute. It doesn’t automatically play, and when I attempt to use any program to access the cd (i.e. power dvd; windows media; the run command) it says that there is no media in the drive. I checked the driver and in device manager it says that the device is working properly. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but still have the same problem. The drive is no more thanthree months old. There doesn’t appear to be anything wrong with the power-as I said before-the light blinks steadily for 30 seconds to a minute.
