EGGHEAD tries to break sale after paymen

by sean-machado . Updated 25 years, 9 months ago

Today 9/25/2000 I purchased a couple of
sticks of 256 MB of SDIMM ram. The price as advertised was super – but AFTER Egghead.com took my money they pulled the memory from the site, and then told me that my sale would be cancelled, and I would not recieve the product I paid for. When I objected that I had paid in good faith, I kept getting “stonewalled” by their statement that the sale would be cancelled. They are trying to break their part of the agreement AFTER having recieved their due payment: My credit card was charged. Egghead apparently believes they can cancel any sale they have made a poor profit on. (I am not the only one…egghead claims the price was in error…but had I paid too much, I doubt that I could cancel the sale after recieving the product!
Be warned.
