    Error 4d on mobo?

I recently got a dvi to hdmi cable to start using dual monitors. I made the mistake of adjusting my gpu while my pc was on when I was trying to connect my hdmi as the back wasn’t aligned properly. I smelled something burning for a moment which smelled like plastic or rubber. My primary monitor went black and the 4d error was displayed on my mobo. Every time I turn on my pc, it doesn’t even go into post. Just the error 4d appears. My mobo is a fatality x370 gaming k4. If anyone has any suggestions on what it could be please let me know. I have done a few troubleshooting things already but don’t want to buy more parts when it may not fix the issue. Thank you
