Ethernet issues
LockedI recently got a new tower built for gaming and i’m currently using my dell inspiron all in one as a monitor. Everything works fine except I’ve had issues with my WiFi and Ethernet. I have looked everywhere and done everything I can do but to no avail.
So I’m using a HDMI cable to use my old all in one as a monitor and networking stuff works fine on the all in one but once i switch to the HDMI screen and use my tower, I can’t connect to anything. I can’t connect to a network, Ethernet (called Ethernet 2) isn’t connected, and my home WiFi is no where to be seen. I’m at a dead end because connecting everything to the all in one itself is fine but connecting to any network, Ethernet or WiFi seems impossible. So far I’ve tried:
-Reinstalling Ethernet driver
-Changing it to use various settings under duplex
-Enabling and disabling EthernetTL;DR
using all in one as monitor for new tower. networking is fine with all in one but having no luck with connecting to Ethernet, getting the tower to find my home WiFi or finding any networks let alone connecting to one.
