I am trying to get to grips with Exchange and have setup my SbS 2003 to use the pop3 connector to send and receive email. After finding I was able to send and receive some email but not others,it appears that my sender address is being shown as xxx.local rather than xxx.com. I understand thatome servers will bounce mail back on the basis of a reverse lookup on the domain name failing.
I went to user properties and added my xxx@xxx.com email address to the ’email adresses’ tab – when I set it as primary i was not able to send or receive at all.
Can anybody give me a clue a to what i need to change and as to whether or not you think I am hve diagnosed the problem correctly? I am sure it is omething basicthat I have missed but it is driving me nuts
