We have an exchange 5.5 on windows 2000 server joining a NT4 domain.
Now we would like to upgrade to Exchange 2007 and Windows 2008. I looked at some posts we have to upgrade the Exchange from 5.5 to 2000, and then 2003 before we upgrade the domain to windows 2003 as intermediate step.
My first step is to create another backup Exchange 5.5. server for upgrading to Exchange 2000.
My question is how can I create a backup Exchange 5.5 server? The server should have the same configuration as the live one with all mailbox and credential information.
The second question is how can I upgrade it to Exchange 2000?
I find many links in Microsoft have been removed. It’s really a very outdated system!!
