Exchange Server 2003 Setup Questions

By butcher_1980 ·
New to techrepublic and really hope someone can help. I'll explain our situation.

We have 2 exchange servers on the same 10.x.x.x subnet and one public IP adress that we use to NAT through. Both exchange servers are members of a single routing group

I've looked at the outbound routing group connector settings and the option to use DNS to route to each address space on this connector is selected. Also both servers are listed as local bridgeheads. Is this setup ideal? I was under the impression that you would only have one exchange server as the bridgehead?

Also when we connect using outlook web access, users who have mailboxes on the one exchange server can log in fine and the users who have mailboxes on the 2nd mail server get an error when they log in.

Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks
