executable programs on cd

i have two floppies of norton antivirus as rescue disks what if i want to burn the s/w inside those floppies and getting the same executable function on the cd-rom ,so that if my floppies get dameged i have an option to boot from the cd-rom drive and the same exists for other executable programs,

Look in Help in your cd-burning software for How to Make a Bootable CD.
It will make you a bootable cd that emulates a floppy disk. that means you only get 640K on there. It will require that you have prepared a bootable floppy disk for it to emulate. use your norton emergency boot disk as your first test to see what i mean. it is possible to have a batch file in the floppy emulation autoexec that accesses other files on the CD 'beyond' the 640 floppy but i have not been able to get that to work in my fiddling. i believe i have seen it done though.
