Fail to write XP Pro roaming user profile to Windows Server 2003

By Terence430 ·
I have a dual boot notebook pc which has two OS. One is Windows Vista Ultimate and the other one is Windows XP Pro.

I have created a roaming user account in Vista and it works fine. Recently, I change the domain pc to workgroup pc in Vista and I change the workgroup pc in XP Pro to Domain pc.

After that, I create a user account in DC of Windows server 2003. It seems OK for me to log on PC by roaming user profile in XP Pro using the roaming user account. However, when I make changes in desktop, I found that the pc settings do not write to roaming user profile in server. The settings only write to local profile in C:\Documents and Settings\useraccount rather than \\servername\useraccount\roaminguserprofile.

Pls. help to identify the problem. Thank you very much!
