Failed Certificate – Certificate Authority

by stealthwifi . Updated 17 years, 5 months ago

I noticed a CertSvc EventID 21 in my event log this morning:
“Certificate Services could not process request 25 due to an error: The request’s current status does not allow this operation. 0x80094003 (-2146877437)”

I went through a bunch of trouble shooting and can’t figure this thing out.

In the Certificate Authority snap-in under Failed Requests I see the request 25 with the following:
“The revocation function was unable to check revocation because the revocation server was offline. 0x80092013 (-2146885613).

Server can issue and work with all other certificates no problum this one just one issue.

I verified permissions for
“\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys”

and have no errors in PKIview.msc.
I made sure the CA was installed on the box that the ceritificate is failing to issue for.

I have no idea what this failed certificate is even for.

Any one know how to remove the failed certificate or get this sucker figured out?

The CRL Distribution Points was pointing at an invalid LDAP location but the URL location works fine. I removed the LDAP from extensions and that didn’t seem to do anything.

Any help in getting this error resolved and the certificate issued or deleted is very welcomed!!!
