I have windows 98 on c drive. I was working in word when it crased. Then i restarted the system. After that the windows was not loading up. when i tried to run scandisk from a bootable floppy it gave “Error in FAT” and stopped.
though i can access my c drive through windows 2000 (my second OS)
Also some days back windows gave error that my disk (c drive) might have developed bad sectors but on scanning the drive no bad sectors were found.
Now is there any way i can recover the FAT without reinstalling the OS.
Any tool which will help in restoring the FAT.
