When we rented our office space, we had a cable modem installed, and discovered it was more cost-effective to use cellular phones than to have a land line installed.
Now we are wondering if there is a web-based service in existence that “leases” their phone line for short bursts, such as the time needed to send or receive a fax (we still have some customers who insist on communicating this way).
Ideally, I would see this service as offering to “turn your cable-connected computer into a telephone” with no phone line required.
