How do I password protect a file/folder in 98 and 2000. How can I lock my computer in win98.

In Win98 there is not much protection. You can not protect a folder from others unless you use a third party software. Because 95/98 dose not have a way to do this. Also the only way to lock your computer in 95/98 is with a BIOS password because screen saver passwords can be by passed by a cold boot. Again there are third party software that can do this. Some are free and most are shareware, try tucows.com or zdnet.com

In 2k, its a cinch - just use NTFS 5.
