Finding video drivers for HP refurb

By patriccio ·
My non-tech administrator just went and picked up a 'deal' - a refurbed HP (I THINK a Pavilion), and the network engineer swapped over the hard drive from our previous Win 2k Server box; so now I've got the silly situation of onboard video (the BIOS has been set to use the onboard video) but only 480x640 16-color graphics. I've looked everywhere I know to look for the proper video drivers, but to no avail. Can anyone help me locate the right drivers? Or, can someone tell me how to get Server 2000 to 'see' the builtin video?
- Thanks!

that will be quite easy if you can just locate a model number and or serial number somewhere on the box...or ask your network engineer if he can put in another video card and disable the on-board one...

Yes this is fairly easy. get the model number from the back of the machine. HP usually has this number on the back (IF NOT THERE THEN ON FRONT AS PART OF THE NAME PAVILLION XXXX). do a search on VIDEO-DRIVERS.COM using the model number and bingo!
