First time with WordPress

I have multiple sites hosted on my home server. Is there an easy way for WordPress to have one central install and manage multiple sites independently? Or would i have to install wordpress under each domain directory?

Create a database for WordPress on your web server, as well as a MySQL user who has all privileges for accessing and modifying it.

You can add a link to WordPress through your webpages.
