Flash5>button>hyperlink

By Lord Foul ·
I have just started mucking around with Flash5 and i have created a button (no problems here).

Ive published the movie and pasted the code into my HTML(using notepad to write HTML). How do i add a hyperlink to this button so that it opens up my next page, in other words, where in the code do i place this <object> and <a href>??

Secondly i would like to know how to change the size of an image file/movie. I am used to Photoshop where you simply change the image size/dimensions. Ive played around with the published code (in notepad) and can change the size this way however there is a lot of white space below the image, which terrorises the layout of my Web page. I need to set the size before i publish.

Finally, i have many more questions, could you add any GOOD tutorial links from web sites.
cheers!!

To make buttons act as links it is best to do in flash itself. Open you project and double-click or right-click on the button and click on "Properties". You should see an "Action" tab allowing you to specify an URL you want to link the button to. You can do most of your scripting in Flash using their Actionscript language that is tied in with Flash. Also check out www.swishzone.com they have a great program that generates all the flash code for you making it real easy to create flash animations. Another excellent resource for web dev is http://www.internet.com/sections/webdev.html
