Hard to repair, excepted if you have exactly the same MB somewhere.

Change bios for the good one, boot, remove bios (yes, you can !) insert bad one, et re-flash.

Else, ask reseller or manufacturer for a new bios.

You mist clear bios after flashing, such as removing the battery for a short time or shorting the appropriate pins, was that done?

Hi,

I have experienced a similar problem with 2 compaq presario model pc's. Whenever the bios jumper was moved the cmos cip seemed to "lockup"
Thus you had no picture and monitor would stay in sleep mode no drives would work. And no keyboard
either. The only leds that would light up were the
power and HDD. I talked to a compaq tech and he suggested moving the bios jumper from clear to normal back and forth Quickly and repeatedly 20 to 40 times. I tried it and it worked. Allthoughon one of the machines I had to do it twice. But it did unlock the chip. It seems that there is a tiny bit of voltage trapped on the mainboard where it shouldn't be and locks up the cmos chip.
Give it a try! It's a cheap fix and it worked on 2 machines for me! In fact one of the presario's went into a lock up every time that I moved the bios jumper! Hope it works for you. Regards Gil
