First off, allow me to elaborate on the circumstances of my problem. I work at a Library where we use the Follett Destiny cataloging program. This program, I believe, is run off the Library server. Under normal circumstances, Patrons at the Library are able to access Destiny from their homes via an external IP address. Yesterday, this IP address stopped working and has only worked once (for about 30 seconds) since then.
I know next to nothing about servers and ISPs and whatnot, but I can provide a bit of technical information. The server is running Microsoft Server 2003 R2 and Qwest is the provider. We have a Cisco router and a Qwest-provided modem.
I’ve contacted Follett and determined that Destiny is not the cause of the problem, but I have been unable to get a hold of Qwest. If anyone can offer some help, I would appreciate it.
