Fortigate FW Rules

Hi Experts,
I recently started gaining knowledge in the field of networking and I hope you can help me further.

I’m using a fortigate fw. and is therefore the first entrance to my network, I would like to use the adblock rule (policy) within my environment that can be set instead of the free adblockers from edge.
Within my environment I use 2 types of server levels one of these is the production environment, which contains all the servers that are in production, and a test environment, in which I have installed all the test servers.

I was wondering if it is possible to test the adblock rule (policy) first in the test environment and then in production?

Yes, firewalls allow you to apply policies by zones and ip addresses. So you can either but these computers in different zones are you can specify the IP addresses of the computer you want to test
