I am trying to fix my sisters computer, IBM Aptiva 2270 that had Win98Se on it, had a hard drive problem that made it inaccesible, installed new hard drive and Win98Se, now everytime it trties to load Windows it brings up the found new Hardware Wizard and attempts to locate the software for it…before it is able or I am able to direct it to the software it reboots.It has a known good power supply and have replaced the onboard video card with another PCI card, to no avail……..Have downloadedand installed the Bios update for the building of the DMI pool and still nothing,CPU temp in Bios settings is good.Is there away to disable the found new hardware wizard, so I can attempt to install the hardware manually?…..any help would be greatly appreciated
