My computer will freeze (usually with an annoying constant beep) after playing any new 3D game for a few minutes.
I have updated all drivers. I have updated my BIOS. I have made sure that there is no IRQ conflict with the video card.
I have run MemTest86 several times. The first time it came up with 4 errors. However, I have run it several times since with no errors. I have also run DocMemory without finding any errors.
I have run several “Burn-in” and Benchmark programs. None have crashed the computer.
My computer has the following hardware:
Intel Pentium IV 2.4 Ghz 533Mhz
Radeon All in Wonder 7500 64MB
80 GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
1.44 Floppy Drive
Enermax CSX305 Wind, Neon, 350
WindowsXP Pro OEM
512MB PC3200 400Mhz DDR-RAM
ECS L4S8A2 SIS 648 Motherboard
SoundBlaster Live! MP3+
SAMSUNG SV2001H (20GB Hard Drive)
LG CD-RW CED-8080B Sony DVD-ROM DDU1621
I have tried all of the possible BIOS changes that ATI suggested. Most were not available in my BIOS, but theones I could change didn’t work.
I did notice at first that my on-board USB controller was in conflict with my video card (showed both using IRQ 11 when booting comp). However, even after disabling the USB controller in the BIOS, I still had the same problem.
So what is the problem? Please help me!!
