graphics driver

By Puzzle-Wizard ·
How do I eliminate a recurring request, at start up, for a search for a new graphic driver? Using 2kPro I get a request to install a new Intel 82815 controller driver. I currently have a newly updated version of the driver installed. It is version 6.13.01.3004. Can't seem to get the query to go away!

Either the driver is not installed properly, or is corrupted.

Make sure that you have the W2K and not the 9X version.

I would also make sure that the chipset driver for the motherboard is up to date.

After further investigation, I find that the system at startup asks if I want to install the old chipset driver. I say no. Next time I startup it asks again. The properties show that the new one is being used. Why would the system ask for the old one to be loaded?

As CHas always said, install your chipset driver, Coz it have a very important role to your System. The chipset driver is in your motherboard CD usually and if you can't see it you can download the latest driver at the manufacturer web site....
