Guest wireless access??? HELP

By Lee_Carn ·
I'd like to allow guest users to my business, Wireless internet access, without joe bloggs across the road pinching my bandwidth, i have seen a system where users are supplied with a SSID, unsecured,then supplied HTTPS URL where they then need to enter a username and password. Access to the internet is denied unless they authenticate on this URL. if they sucsessfully authenticate they are presented with a succsessful connection message, "keep this window open while you brouse the internet"
If you close the succsessful connection window your internet access is terminated, can anyone help me with something like this???

(and I'm sure there are many more).

You could use a simple wireless router that has Hotel style guest access and change the pass codes periodically. Sorta like this;

Or you could use a software solution similiar to this:

There's that option. Or you can just setup the encryption on the router for the wireless connection. Setup WPA encryption security and those who need to access it give them the password. OR, you can setup MAC address filtering and add the MAC address of the computer to want to give access to, to the list.

use a proxy

that way only users that are defined there can have (restricted) internet access and are asked to enter username and pwd
