Guidance on career comeback in IT industry

By bimala_mishra ·
Hi:

I have 11 years experience in IT industry including 4 years exposure in BI/DW domains. The last role I had played before taking break was a project lead/technical lead responsible for delivery, team management, customer relationship etc. I was doing great in my career and was awarded many times for leadership skill and technical competencies. However I had to take break from my work to look after my little ones and it has been 4 years, I am away from work force. Since 1 year I am seriously looking out for opportunity, but nothing has come up as such in my way. If at all I get certain opportunity, it will be for a developer, in which I am least interested. Recently I am going through CBIP (Certified Business Intelligence Professional) from TD/WI institutes and have cleared 2 papers already and the last one I will be appearing very soon. I am looking out similar opportunity such as Project lead/Team Lead or as a data modeler/analyst/data architect. Could anyone guide me in this regard. My core strength was data warehouse /ETL designing and data profiling and I would prefer similar kind of roles, as I have interest in such areas I would appreciate if someone can guide me in this regard in terms of certification if required or more specific roles I should look for, resume tips. I have experience working in India and as my family got relocated to Singapore, I am exploring opportunity in Singapore market. I would really seek sincere guidance of some expert in this field whoever will come across this post, I would be grateful for that. Thanks
